PORK CHOPS WITH SQUASH AND ZUCCHINI

SUPPER:

Had the grill all fired up. Slapped the chops and veggies on the grill. Went to fetch a limb that had fallen off mesquite tree in backyard from the morning storm. Hauled that limb to front yard as it is brush pick-up in my neighborhood. Poured me a Pepsi---all I wanted was a Pepsi. Went to check on the food and I was out of fuel. That's right---out of propane! Had to finish the cooking inside on the cook-top. Boo! Food was still good though! Love me some pork chops!

SONIC DRIVE-IN

MIDNIGHT SNACK:

Blue Coconut Slush.

Mona, where are you Mona? In college we used to make Sonic runs and dear Mona was so much fun. Everyone would pile into the car and head to the only Sonic in town. Then everyone would yell out their own order at the speaker. One day she yelled out "grape slut please". Slushes were always called that after that faux pas.

PIZZA HUT

TAKE OUT:

OK---I deserve this pizza because I burned 30,000 calories today trimming the trees and shrubs and bushes at the house today. I have the scars to prove it.

CRACKER BARREL

SUPPER:

Not so good! Portion sizes have shrunk and the food was like a day old. It will be a long while before I show up here again. for the open faced roast beef sandwich with dumplins.

GRILLED PORK RIBS & MUSTARD POTATO SALAD

SUPPER:

Pork is my favorite protein because it's the other white meat. But really, this was a giant cut of meat and was so, so tasty. Falling off the bone tasty.

RIB EYE STEAK

SUPPER:

Seriously? Can you tell I love me some Rib Eye Steak. I think I am a Rib Eye Steak snob. This is the only cut of meat I will really eat anymore.

This is first foto of me actually cooking or in this case grilling. Might do more of those in the future. And yes I was wearing my heavy duty grilling gloves. LOL.

TRIBUTE TO IOWA

SUPPER:

Southern Cornbread Catfish with corn breaded Okra and Cornbread. Love me some fresh food. Can't wait to have my own Okra from my Square Foot Gardening this year.

SUPPER:

Ok I was the youngest person in the room at this restaurant today---but that is not a bad thing right? Food was super good today too!

SNACK:

White Cherry Icee as we wait to see I LOVE YOU MAN. I love Paul Rudd but was a bit underwhelmed by this movie. Go see it but during a matinée.
