I remember when this song was popular on the charts way back in 1983. I loved this song and played the heck out of it---over and over on my cassette tape. And just like MJ's other singles from the Thriller album, I expected my fave song to go to #1 as well. I was wrong. I remember Overkill by Men At Work kept Wanna Be Startin' Something at the #2 position for quite a while. Yes I was angry that my fave MJ song never made it to #1.
Through the years I have come to appreciate the melody and lyrics of Overkill. I am no longer bitter. They both hold a special place in my musical heart.

SALT GRASS STEAK HOUSE
LUNCH:Always there is a reason to eat at this restaurant, today it was: beat the Father's Day rush by going a day early.
Had the rib eye steak and garlic mashed potatoes. Mmm Mmm delicious.
Tried the Texas Two Step Margarita but for some reason they put it in a hurricane glass. It was good.
The best part of lunch though was the waitress. Candace was just the right of attentiveness and servitude. She even brought us our ticket without having to ask for it as is common in San Antonio. I will go there again and specifically ask for her table. She was THAT good.

STIR FRY----WITH WHAT I COULD FIND IN FRIDGE
SUPPER:It's too darn hot. Made a quick beef stir fry with beef, mushrooms, carrots, edamame, bell peppers and bamboo shoots. Darn it---was not as good as I hoped.

Lemon Pork Loin, Zucchini with Green Chile and Rosemary New Potatoes
SUPPER:It really is so hot outside but had to get rid of this pork loin before it spoiled. I originally wanted to grill it but made it indoors instead.
With my last batch of zucchini from my square foot gardening and rosemary from my sun garden, I came up with a meal for tonight.
Lemon pepper pork loin as my protein. Zucchini with green chile and rosemary baked new potatoes as sides and my meal was complete. Mmm Mmm I do declare I can cook.

PORK CHOPS AND MACARONI and CHEESE
SUPPER:You guys know I love pork so you can never go wrong with Pork Chops. I was gonna shake and bake them but damn if it was not still 102 degrees outside so I just pan seared them. Homemade Mac and Cheese made this an mmm mmm delicious good meal.
